LOCATION
On the back, level with the lower border of the spinous process of the 4th thoracic vertebra, 1.5 cun lateral to the posterior midline.
Features
Back-Shu point of the pericardium.
Body Inches (cun)
Each person has his/her own personal body inches.
One cun is equal to the width of the Knuckle of the thumb.
Nerves, vascular
The inner and outer cutaneous branches of the fourth and fifth posterior branches of the thoracic nerve, the medial cutaneous branches of the posterior branches of the fourth intercostal artery and vein, and the descending branch of the transverse carotid artery.
Indication
Anginapectoris，myocarditis，rheumatic heart disease，pericarditis；neurasthenia，intercostal nerve pain；gestritis，tooth neuralgia. For all heart conditions: palpitations, anxiety, stress, etc. Combine with PC 6 to open the chest. As the “Jueyin Shu” you may also treat LV related conditions such as stagnation of LV Qi.
Combinations
Upsetinsomnia，neurasthenia： BL 14 & PC 05 & HT 07.
Heartache：BL 14 & HT 07 & GB 41.
Heartachepalpitations，fullness sensation in the Heartache palpitations：BL 14 & CV 17.

穴位
在背部，當第4胸椎棘突下旁開1.5寸處。
特點
心包經之背俞穴。
同身寸
針灸取穴比量法。出自《千金要方》。
是指以患者本人體表的某些部位折定分寸，
作为量取穴位的長度單位。
穴區神經血管
第四、五胸神經後支的內、外側皮支，第四肋間動、靜脈後支的內側皮支和頸橫動脈降支。
適應症
心絞痛，心肌炎，風濕性心髒病，心外膜炎；神經衰弱，肋間神經痛；胃炎，齒神經痛等。
